Mein Mann und ich sind froh, eine Entscheidung bekannt gegeben zu haben, die so viele andere auch hinterfragen, aber Angst haben, es öffentlich zu machen. Nachdem wir uns über männliche Säuglingsbeschneidung und die Funktion der Vorhaut informiert hatten, war es für uns keine Frage mehr, dass wir niemals erlauben könnten, dass unser Sohn beschnitten wird. Alles, was wir noch tun mussten, war, die Praktik in Frage zu stellen – etwas, das uns unser Glaube nicht nur erlaubt, sondern wozu er uns sogar ermutigt.

Wir hoffen, dass viele andere Paare – nicht nur jüdische sondern auch diejenigen, die anderen Traditionen folgen – auf ihre Herzen und ihren Verstand hören und das tun, was ihren Kindern die meiste Ehre erweist.
